About Harbor Lights

Harbor Lights condominium was built in 1974.  It's fee simple, and sprawls over seven and a half acres of land across the street from the Kahului Harbor.  The University of Hawaii, Maui College is our neighbor, as is the Swap Meet that occurs each Saturday morning.  Harbor Lights has 352 units in four buildings.  The "A" Building has 112 units, two average sized laundry room and a large washer and dryer on the first floor.  "A" Building is where the office is located.  It has a coin changer, snack machine and water vending machine on the first floors near the office.  "D" Building is the same size as the "A" Building and has the same amenities, aside from the office and coin changer.  All buildings have a snack vending machine.  A purified water station is located outside of "C" Building.  Each building has two elevators and coin-op laundry rooms.  The yard has a beautiful water feature with a Koi Pond, there are swings for the little ones, a 1/2 size basketball court for the bigger kids and a swimming pool for all ages (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

The Board of Directors

Harbor Lights is self managed aside from fiscal management provided by Destination Maui, Inc.  The Board is a hands on entity who uniquely functions together to fiducially manage the property with the assistance of a General Manager.  Regular meetings of the Board of Directors take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Harbor Lights Conference Room, Unit A-111.  Meetings are restricted to OWNERS ONLY and begin precisely at 5:00 PM. 

If you have a concern and wish to address the board, please put it in writing (e-mail, fax, or letter) and it will be directed to the entire board.

Important - Annual Meeting Notice

The next Annual Meeting of the Association of Apartment Owners is reserved for Thursday November 2, 2017.  Venue to be Announced.  Registration begins at 5:00 and the meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.

Light Refreshments will be served.

Miscellaneous Information

  • Pets are not allowed at Harbor Lights unless they are medical service animals  (refer to the house rules)
  • Swimming Pool (key to the pool and back gate may be purchased for a non-refundable $25 fee)
  • Window Replacement Specifications
  • Air Conditioner Policy - Air conditioners are now allowed since we changed to using the sub-metering system.  The board requires all air conditioners to be the portable type.  It is in violation to have an air conditioner protruding out of the window.  Portable air conditioners must be vented in a professional manner, not with taped cardboard, etc.
  • Change of Address for owners:  Please email your changes to harborlightsmaui@gmail.com.  It is vital in case of an emergency to have current phone numbers and mailing addresses on file
